unemployed self employed entitled to course?

    Is an unemployed person not recieving payment entilted to do a fas course, as in the safe pass. I was self employed now unemployed not receiving payment as my wife has a job at the moment. Can anyone point me to a web site where I can print offthe information to bring in with me, thanks.

    AFAIK you will not be considered for a FAS course. You have to be registered unemployed and the only way to do that is in your case have a jobseekers allowance claim. I know you say your wife is working but have you applied for Jobseekers Allowance. If not I would advise you to do so and be means tested and even if you are only entitled to xx amount you will be in a position to apply for FAS course.

    In the current economic environment, a number of serious challenges exist to Irish industry at a national and enterprise level. Ireland has a great need for innovation, and people with innovation skills.
