Walking back to my office after lunch and I spied an attractive young lass loitering beside her Range Rover with an extremely well groomed golden retriever in tow. minutes later, I realised I had left my wallet in my car so returned to grab it. In the mean time a celtic tiger-esque paunchy auld lad - of the likes you would see in the FF tent at the Galway Races had pulled up beside her in his S-class merc, he patted the dog and then took the young miss in a lovers embrace. Needless to say my jaw hit the floor and my stomach churned just a little bit!
Now, in my opinion, its obvious she saw the size of his wallet and it was love at first sight and in fairness, she was very purrdy so his motives are clear. But who among you could go through with such a thing? For me, I think the money would be tempting but the wrinkly saggy arse would not!!!!!

I'll have you know my arse is as pert as a brace of surgically enhanced boobs. *harrumph*

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

He probably has great road frontage, which as anyone will tell you is the only important factor in choosing a sexual partner.

Having at one time being married to someone considerably older than me I can say its not always about money in fact I would say it rare enough for someone to only be interested in someone because they have money, you cant judge from one quick view of the situation.

My current amour is only 8 years older that me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 152 ✭✭gerbear1

I was watching some tv program that had one of Donald Trump's wives on it and she was asked would she have married him if it wasn't for his money. She replied with would he have married me if it wasn't for my looks.

    Everybody wins.

What is the oldest you girls would go for?
    Please post your own age!

My wife is 13 years younger than me (i'm not rich)

I personally have no problem with it, fair play to him and all that. But if he is one of these guys who has to have the newest thing (car, house, gadget..etc) I fear his use for her is solely to have her as another trophy along with all the rest. That over time her looks will fade and he will be after a fresher newer model, so she will be discarded like all the rest of his old editions.
But I know plenty of couples with a great age difference, were it is not about money but actual partnership seems to work out well. OP try not to judge though it makes you look shallow :D

Ah that is not much. I know a couple with 30 years age difference. As long as the two of you are happy who cares what people think;)

I was in a relationship with a man 23 years older than me. it wasn't a sugar daddy scenario as I was by far the higher earner. and I assure you I am not attractive enough to be called a trophy wife!

Don't make assumptions about other people's relationships, you can never know what goes on unless you're in it.
