Beginners Questions about Quick Office

I have recently aquired an HTC Wildfire, it has Quickoffice version 3.2.93 - HTC loaded on to it when I purchased it.

I have never had to use office products on a mobile before, but my work roster is now sent out on a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. I would like to be able to save this to the phone and edit it when there a roster swaps. How could I go about doing this?

Also is it possible to creat documents on Quick Office?

    Thanks for any help!

I don't have a HTC phone at the moment, but my impression, and it shouldn't take too long for you to check this out for yourself is:

You will be able to view files, but not edit them/create them. You can do this with Quickoffice Pro -which is a tenner!
