what would shredded wood chip or pulped timber be like to use in a stove, this would be old site timber and pallets that are shredded up into wood chip.
would it be to messy or possibly work in the stove

Be very carefull burning wood particles. Sawdust in a stove is known to be prone to explode. At what size particle this happens I wouldn't know. The problem lies on insufficient air causing production of inflammable gas due to the large surface area of the fuel and the small spaces between particles. There were stoves out there designed to burn sawdust one being Fulgora. I would do a bit of research if I were you. I found these quite quickly.
