    I just got me a couple of flavour plugs i.e. ones that aren't the more typical eq/comp ones, namely the Sonnox Inflator and the Cranesong Phoenix which I'm just about to fire up.

    Any opinions on these or recommendations for others ?

    Getting some nice sounds from Waves MPX at the minute, on the vocal bus, on the mix bus, on individual drums. Very versatile.
    Got the demo and figured it was worth the 99 dollars.
    Also soundtoys devil-loc. I like a little too much distortion on stuff in general but it has a great range from a very small bit of grit to total destruction.

    Soundtoys Decapitator - goes from subtle to searing. Very nice.

    Big fan of the Cranesong Phoenix. Very subtle...

    Love the Dark Essence on vocals. I'm presuming it's some kind of harmonic exciter, no?
