Good morning folks , i currently drive a 00 golf and yesterday the gear box went on it, I was wondering what you guys think is the best option would it be worth fixing or would i be better of selling it and see how much i can get for it without the gear box ?
    Any help would be great

If it's a 1.4 Golf I'd be slow to put €500+ into it to sort the gearbox. Worth very little as is, also worth very little with a functioning gearbox. Mileage, condition, NCT etc would be worth posting.

IMO, it would be only viable if you were certain you would be keeping the car for a long enough time. If I knew I were stuck with the car for maybe another 2 years, I'd just get on with it. Otherwise, I'd upgrade now.
