Analog TV> RTE 2 Audio Static

My elderly aunt has a 21-inch TV by Wharfedale [huh?] that is simply connected to an antenna, I believe, by a coaxial cable. We see the basic TV channels: RTE 1, RTE 2, TV3, TV4. We are having increasingly common audio problems on RTE 2 with really annoying static and crackles. Does anyone know what might be causing this?…
