Hi sorry if this is in the wrong place, im not sure. Just wondering I know a lad who broke his leg during a soccer match, was admitted to A&E had an op that night and stayed 2 nights before being released. Including physio etc, how much should he be looking the lad is only 21 out of work, no insurance.

Does he have a medical card? If so it's free.

    Othersie it would be
2 x €75 for the 2 nights stay (this is capped at €750 per person per year). All the physio, follow-up appointments, the surgery etc. are free.

According to this HSE website the €100 A+E fee does not apply if you are subsequently admitted into the hospital.
