sick of espns coverage

they keep showing the absolute gutter matches of the round. this week, they are showing Collingwood (for about the 15th time at least, and seriously, not joking there) against Brisbane. Now this coming after they showed them against Port Adelaide, the same time Sydney and Essondon played a cracker. This sat you have the Eagles against the bombers and Freo against the Roos. both are hughely more attractive for neutrals than fooking collingwood battering brisbane. its a nothing game, but the oterh 2 are huge for finals places.

and then sunday they have Port Adelaide against the dogs. Port have to be the worst team at the moment, and shouldnt be anywhere near tv. you have sydney and st kilda at the same time, which is a vastly more attractive game.

its really really annoying, and its worse its getting. whatever about not showing the Eagles, but at least show decent games. Altho if you support Carlton or Collingwood you;ll be happy as they have been on pretty much every weekend.

and I have alread tried contact espn about it. its ****e, because there is no alternative.

You'll get most of the games on streams these days, not ideal obviously but better than nothing.

I think the ESPN games are chosen at the start of the year and can't be changed. And I think the Lions Collingwood game could be decent, Lions are improving and they have the 2 Irish boys playing.

Carlton v Hawthorn will be shown live this weekend.I hope the Blues stuff those Hawks and hopefully secure there place in the qualifying finals.:)

yeah they'll always have the friday games. and the times on dont really suit for streams. would only be bothered about streams on Eagles games. would prefer espn to show a decent game, and sky plus it. they may have picked games at teh start of the year, but the amount of carlton and collingwood games suck.

as you say, only positive about the lions game is seeing Hanley and McKeever. cant see anything other than a handy collingwood win tho.

carlton winning wont secure the top 4. Eagles actually have it in their hands if I'm reading it right. if the Eagles win their last 3 they'll get 4th, as Carlton have a bye in the last round. think thats the case?

This is off topic but why are Collingwood so hated?Like the Cork footballers there title win last year was there first since 1990 and are Hawthorn hated because there chairman is bit of a jerk? Anyway if The Blues,The Saints and The Demons get into the finals i'll be happy although id like St Kilda to win it after there recent heartbreaks.A poor aussie friend of mine is a Richmond fan.I don't think they've even come close to being in the top 8 since 01 although though they had a decent start to the season this year and then they lost match after match and now even the Crows are ahead of them.

To put it bluntly, their fans are seen as scum. Collingwood would have the biggest 'bogan' following in the AFL.

On another note it's nice to see Carlton back as a force again.As i far as im concerned they served there punishment and that's that.They had to rebuild the club from the bottom up and fair play to them.As for the thread topic hopefully ESPN will make a better effort to show the games with something riding on them next year.It's the equivalent of RTE showing leitrim v Roscommon instead of Cork v Kerry!

Collingwood game a bit of a non event alright. Altho it was good to see McKeever kick his first ever goal. he did ok, despite Cloke scoring 5 off him. Hanley was quiet enough and a bit iffy on the ball at times. Good return of form of Didak for Collingwood too. And they played some good young players to give them a run out too.

nice one. espn not showing the eagles carlton game this saturday. dont know why I bother with them anymore. they only have 2 games to show FFS.

TBF, they have scottish football starting at 12... and for a british sports channel football would bring in more subscribers than a niche foreign sport (even if its the SPL)

I'd like to say I cant bloody believe it, but its been happening all season. Eagles/Cats game on at 7am or so (or maybe 5, not sure which of the timezones I was looking at), and ESPN are showing a repeat of the Red sox yankees game that they had on their ESPN America channel. brilliant. followed by a repeat of a rugby game. yay.
