OK so my dad lives in Belguim and im flying over in the morning. He wanted me to buy him sausages and pudding to bring over with me to give to him because he's not too fond of the meat over there. Can I bring these items in my carry on luggage?? or do I have to put them in a checked in bag?

It shouldn't be a problem. Liquid blood might be another matter. :pac:

Some countries won't allow raw meat at all.

I'd put it in the hold - will keep it cooler during the flight. I would take a chance on it. if they stop you all you lose is a fryup.

I've brought in my hand luggage, vacuum packed rashers and sausages from UK to Ireland and vice versa, with no probs.

Also brought cheese just wrapped in clingfilm and no problems there either. :)

A few times the security staff have asked me what the lump in my bag is, had a look and I said it was cheese or bacon or whatever and it's been fine.
