Retul Fit

    Hello everyone.

I've been having problems with both knee and lower back pain. I've been looking to get a bike fit and I'd like the sound of the Retul Fits. I notice that there are now 2 people in Ireland doing them, both in Tyrone and according to google maps not a million miles from each other. Being from Belfast it is a bit out of the way but easy enough to get to.

I've contacted both and the Roe Valley Cycles fit is £150 and the Inspired Cycling fit is £175. There is no info out there that I can find about the Roe Valley fit and there is very little about the Inspired Cycling fit though what there is pretty positive.

Has anyone here used either of these? I would really appreciate your views.

Did you ever get this done? Was it worth it?

Anyone else comment on the Retul fit?

I didn't but would still love one. The Inspired Cycling one definitely gets more coverage than Roe Valleys no doubt due to the fact that Inspired are allied with Chain Reaction Cycles, Belfast and Forme Coaching (who charge £10 extra for their fit by the same person).

I will get it done some time. If it was more Belfast based I'd already have got it done but it's not and it's awkward for me to get to so I haven't bothered so far.

    Sorry I couldn't help.

I saw the two places you referenced, I also found these guys in Belfast (I just contacted Sean and he replied in a matter of 10 mins with loads of questions). £175 is the cost. I am based in Dublin so a train trip up North would be needed. If these are more local for you it might be worth checking

i'm trying to figure out why you think you need a bike fit. if the knee and back pain is only a recent thing and you have been cycling on the bike for a while without these problems. Why would you think its a bike fit issue. Could there not be dozens of other reasons for the pains? and surely if you have not been having problems prior to now with that bike its highly unlikely its the bike set up thats causing the problems.

We could start a thread 10000 reasons for knee and back pains!

Had Retul fit done last year,
Pretty happy with it but i found it to put me in more of a racing position,
Its great if you have good flexibility which I dont anymore:(
