Any ideas of where is a nice place to stay going from Florence to Rome - preferably along the sea for two nights. Don't have time to do sorrento etc.

    Any suggestions appreciated!!

    Thanks

Heres a eurail map it shows main train stops.

Know someone who went to piombino and thought it was nice. Couldn't really tell you anything else to be honest, never went too far off the beaten track

Pisa is lovely, maybe a bit off the route though.

Sienna is not very far south of Florence on the way to Rome. Not by the sea, but its really worth a look.
