As I recently saw the NCPS have changed the type of padlock they use with their clamps. These locks seem to have a different type of cylinder with a semi circle shaped keyhole (nearly like a rounded capital E if that makes sense) instead of the regular shaped keyhole.

Being a some what worldly man, well so I like to think haha I suspect that the regular ones they had were prone to being picked. Cant see why else they'd change and had heard few people saying the regular ones were easy to get off.

Id say the new types will put an end to anyone looking for a quick getaway.
Fekin clampers trying to raise their game!

So what happens if someone drops in some superglue?

They will still have to cut it off. I know it will delay you, but they would have a serious pain in the ass.

Yeah but thats still after the owner has to fork out 120 bucks!

Which personally I think is a rip off.

I cannot advocate glueing the lock, but it would be karma if they screwed you and somone screwed them back.

Lads I was wondering, if we took one of these locks to a locksmith, would thebe able ro provide a key? They can't be that special/unique, and it would have to be cheaper than forking out for a good grinder.

Ive never been clamped so forgive my ignorance but when they clamp you do they not take reg details so that even if you do cut it off they will eventually send the bill to you?

A private firm can't "bill you" unless they have authorisation to do so. 99% of private clamping operations have no legal authorisation.

There are numerous threads recently on here with people removing clamps that were put on in violation of the Road Traffic Act and the clamping firm being legally powerless to persue them.

But NCPS don't use 'tubular' locks, they use pad locks with a different type of keyhole.
