I know there's probably a thread for this area already but sure places open and close all the time, right? :)
Just started working on Harcourt Road and been investigating nice places for lunch. Usually on my own (until I make friends) and so far I've been going to places like Zaytoon, Charlie's and Burittos and Blues.

Anyone recommend any other places which are cheap enough and tasty?

Thinking of venturing over to Clanbrassil Street some day...seem to remember seeing some diner-style Indian joints over there.

There's not much on Clanbrassil St off the top of my head, not sure if they're still there but there used to be a sit in Indian opposite Centra and Passion 4 Food just a bit up from that).

At Leonards Corner you have the Bistro Cafe (Chipper), Pinheads Pizza, Stephanie's Cafe and if I'm not mistaken Leonards Corner Cafe and possibly the Headline do pub grub.

Might be a better idea to venture more towards Stephens Green imo, on Wexford St there's a few places Bobo's, Cafe Bliss, Hell Pizza, Cafe Sofia, etc... then on Montague Lane (the lane at the Fresh shop) there's a couple of places, everyone always harps on about the place on your left hand side just next to the Casino which the name escapes me.

That Indian restaurant? I'd love to find a good, cheap Indian close by....

Rotana on Richmond Street does nice Lebanese food.

If you're going to go as far as Clanbrassil St., Kunkan, near the bridge, does lovely Indian food.

And if you continue up the SCR, through Leonard's Corner, you'll come to Noshingtons, across the road from Griffith College, who do a lovely lunch.

Bibis on Emorville Avenue/Ovoca Road. Sometimes you have to wait for a seat so I don't know how good that would be on your lunch break but the food there is amazing.

Check out Cake cafe on Camden street, just go in through the Daintree Paper shop with the orange awning
