I thought there was a new rule passed that male & female should not be given different quotes?

I just filled up a quote on 123.ie for a female and then changed it to male and it went up around €200.
    Is this not illegal?

It applies from 21st December 2012 so for the moment it's still legal to discriminate.

I assume you are currently with QUINN. Perhaps withhold some key part that could be used to link you to your current policy. ie: Don't submit your reg. This may trick the system into thinking you're a new customer. Not that I am saying they would do this but it is not unknown for service providers.

No not with Quinn just put in false details then just changed MR and male and no change with Quinn but was with 123.ie. Thats when I thought the new rule had been brought in.
