Bringing car to UK and then back to Ireland

    Not sure if this is the right place for this!

    Basically, I'm bringing my car to the UK for a year and I will have to get it registered over there. I'm just wondering when I bring it back next year, will I have to pay VRT to register it again here?

    I believe you will not have to pay VRT on return. If you are going for a set time for a contract you may be able to apply to the UK not to reg it there, you can do that if you are coming this way.
