    Hi OP,

I went to one in January. We already had a lot of stuff picked but not booked and did find that we came out with a few discounts. We had the venue booked so didn't look at any hotel standings and can't say whether they offered big reductions.
However, most cake companys have stands and they all offered 10% off on the day (and samples :) ).
Some places doing invitations also gave discounts. we ended up getting 15% off the place we'd previously decided on.
Even if you don't buy there and then, you'll see the usual 'wedding services' altogether so you can directly compare price wise. I did find they put you under pressure to make orders though and there's a lot of stuff you prob didn't imagine existed so just go in with a list or something. Good luck :)

the reason they want you to book there is once you walk away theyve lost you. 10% discount is about right and the RDS gig is the priciest (by a country mile) for suppliers to attend so they'll give the hard sell, but dont be afraid to ask for more then the 10% as well..
