    not particularly good value

    wd mypassport usb 3 1tb is on 69 gbp on amazon at the moment, last week it was even 65euro in currys but that offer ended now ( sadly)

    Earliest dispatch date is Sep 20th through to Nov1st though - a long wait.

    for the metallic blue was immediate as far as i remember, i checked it yesterday

    I know there is cheaper but the shock resistance is drawing me in! After i dropped my old 1tb and lost everything.

    You are right ( 82.03 euro delivered) I only checked the black one.

    I'm assuming yours is a 3.5 needing AC power, this one is a 2.5, powered from USB. You can't compare them.

    Unless the one that you're comparing it to is shockproof, dustproof, and waterproof, then you cannot compare the two.
