    Hi folks,

I'm nearing the completion of house and just wondering what people have done in relation to a broadband and phone connection?

Is the only way to run a line to the road and get Eircom to hook it up or is there an easier way to get both phone and broadband?

I'm in Cavan and the house is about 100 foot from the road and on its own site.

Depending on your location wireless broadband and phone may be available.
Also, just because you have an Eircom copper line does not mean you will get broadband!
Have a look at this site for more info in your area etc http://www.getbroadband.ie/

Finally, run a couple of satellite cables from your 'hub' position up to your attic, or similar high point in the house, as this might be the easiest way of connecting to a wireless system if installed later down the line.
