As long as there is a student in the house is the criteria I remember reading...

    At least I think ;-)

Great deal.. I've used them before(irish site) and never had any probs, used the download version and the disc version(arrived day after order).. Have recommended before.. The Win 7 Upgrade can be used to do a clean install..

If one has Vista Home Premium installed, would I have to back up everything on my pc. Stick disc in (I don't want to download and 32bit ok)and Windows 7 will be installed ? All done ?

I am not techie so don't start on partition files etc.

If you're moving between 32 bit and 64bit- yes, you definitely would.
Otherwise- probably not. I say probably- because there are always those weird cases where people decide to accidentally hit a button to reformat a partition without intending to do so etc- its impossible to definitively say yes or no- its always better to back up your information one way or the other.

You cannot do a clean install from this straight away. The Key is an upgrade key. You can only do a clean install after upgrade key has been activated.

Also changing from 32 bit to 64 or vice versa will not work as you will have to do a clean install to change over.

The actual upgrade takes about 5 minutes and has to be done via the control panel. All you do is type in you upgrade key when prompted and windows is upgraded after a few downloads without using the DVD.
