Just wondering what type of boards people out there are using for gigging. Thinking of splashing out the money on something. Any ideas?

Currently using a Casio Privia 330. These generally go for around 700 or thereabouts brand new. It's got the right feature set (for me anyway), built in speakers and is relatively light.

Korg and Yamaha also make similarly priced keyboards such as the Korg SP 250/130 and Yamaha p-95. Yamaha, Korg and Casio also have boards at higher price points, too, but this is where names like Roland and Nord enter the fold as well and are worth looking at so there's quite a bit of choice.

Alternatively, you can look at a midi keyboard setup, where the keyboard is merely a device to trigger sounds on a laptop/sound module that it's hooked up to. This would mean bringing a laptop or module to wherever you would be playing and that does not appeal to all players.

Seems to me Nord the red keyboards are very popular. Also Roland rd150s.

I'm not a keyboard player, but seen many of them about.

    i have a nord stage 88.

they're expensive, but they're the best by a long shot for piano/electric piano and organ.

I use a Kurzweil PC3X, I get to use a lot more of the features easily than I could out of my old Roland Fantom. You didn't mention your budget but if you were looking at this price range it is fantastic what can be covered with this board.

Nord keyboards are also fantastic but I have yet to play their range for a decent amount of time, most people who use them are more than impressed by the sound quality.

A simpler version of the PC3X is the Kurzweil SP4, here is the 76 key version.

You may find a 76 key model easier to transport to and from gigs, it weighs 11kg compared to 24.5kg. Many of the PC3x patches have been ported over to the SP4 and are available for free download on the Kurzweil website.

Worth a mention for a simpler ready to go board and because Waltons seem to be selling it for €639 compared to Thomann at €777!
