Hi, our lease agreement has just expired and the landlord is refusing to renew for another year due to the fact that the house is on the market. When we enquired about renewing the lease the landlord said we can stay on but on a week to week basis. Our question is this, does that mean that when we find another house we only need to give a weeks notice?

That is what it suggests, however, it would be best to get it in writing. Importantly, what notice will he give you?

Currently you are on a "Part 4" lease and are entitled to about 30 days.
