Hi work for a well known multinational company . im on my 3rd fixed term contract which im pretty certain will be renewed upon its expiration on the end november of this year. I work in customer support which according to my contract can be deemed as almost anything. i was working in a a quality control area but now a new department has been created as one of the functions of the business that used to be outsourced is now being done in house. my line manager and his line manager put me processing this new department but ive not been made a manager and not been given any pay rise. The things thats really bugging me is i dont think HR have even been consulted about this whole new department,

Its as if it is a department but officially on paper its not yet a position within the company. Also ive not been given any training even though my contract states i wont be asked to do anything without being given adequate training. My managers dont actually know anything of this new department and neither do other departments which tend to cross with what my work does so its quite a strange and stressfull mess for me. Ive not been given a change in status or any rise in salary even though an email from HR said that the salary review had been already processed and we would be told by our line manager so i assume my department did not get a rise despite my performance review of my work says im doing better than anybody else and i do more overtime than anybody in the company,

My line manager is a sleazy lazy fraud who has literally told me at times to just go away cause he does not know when ive asked questions regarding some of the most basic things. There are huge back logs of work due to my line managers lack of management as he lets the girls talk and take longer breaks as he wants to get into their pants. Even people in other departments are aware of it but the worker ants like me at the bottom are afraid to speak up about it. The question i have is if i speak to HR and they have words with management im worried i will get punsihed by management when it comes to the renewal of my contract in november.
So in spite of everything and me being quite unhappy my cv is not that hot and im the only one working in the family so if im out of a job i cant afford the mortgageof my parents head and i cant afford to go to college part time.
    so any advise guys?

I would not advise you to go to HR, they will almost always take the side of management in a case like this.

If there was overt discrimination or bullying or sexual harassment then they would do something about it because their jobs would be on the line if it was discovered they had been notified about such practices and did nothing about it.

What you are saying is that this guy is incompetent or lazy, you will get no support from HR if you try to raise an issue like this with them, you will be branded a troublemaker and your contract will not be renewed. If you do not have a permanent job then believe me, in the current climate you do not want to be rocking the boat and complaining to and about the people who will decide if you still have a job when your contract is up in November.
