    Hi,

Just looking for some advice. My sister broke up with her partner of 7 years. Was very upset, but the relationship ended badly. Her ex owns the house they lived in, but she contributed to the mortgage, utilities, fixtures, fittings, etc. She also took out a loan for the ex, about €5,000. Although she was never on the deeds, he always promised to, but never carried through. Thing is he won't repay her the money he owes her or reimburse her for anything that she put in, obviously she wasn't going to take the furniture away or the washing machine, but is it worth her going the legal route, weren't married, but does "common law" wife have any standing? Sorry for rambling, but will she just be throwing money away? Advice appreciated

She should see a solicitor in this regard as soon as possible as Part 15 of the Civil Partnership and Certain Rights and Obligations of Cohabitants Act 2010 would be very relevant to her situation.
