Stabaliser set-up?

Ok so I bought a full carbofast X-Seeker set-up how ever im starting to wonder if I need a shorter longrod. Having shot barebow for two years before hand I have grown a liking for having the weight close to the bow. Also I am having a little trouble holding the dot and I think that the longer less stiff carbofast rod is hampering my attempts. So do I need a shoter long rod?

All that said I have never tried any other stabaliser set-up and it could just be me.

    Thanks for all the help!

I think I read somewhere that long rod length is meant to be proportional to drawlength.............
