Quicktime in Firefox 5/Ubuntu 10.10

I'm having awful trouble getting QT (e.g. Apple trailers) to play in Firefox. I've messed around with various plugins and installations of parole, gecko media player and a couple more I cogged from a few ubuntu sites but I can get nothing beyond the QT window and occasionally an hourglass. Any sure fire tips for getting it…
