    Not paleontology but kinda funny XD

    The Magic Carpet Ride is a statue of a surfer located in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, a beach community in San Diego, California. Since it's installation in 2007 the statue has caused controversy as, according to local residents, the surfer looks effeminate and has a pose more reminiscent of a ballet dancer than a macho surfer...
    As a result, the statue has a long story of being mocked, spoofed and dressed up in ridiculous outfits by vandals/artists...

    The most recent joke was prehistoric themed and the most ellaborated to date- by someone who obviously wanted to see the surfer snatched and devoured by a hungry pterodactyl...

    No one knows who's responsible for the ellaborate joke, which even includes a painted volcanic eruption background to add to the Cretaceous atmosphere...
