Hey guys, thought I'd start this thread here, even though there's already a Vegan & Vegetarian forum, theres a lot of males there too, so it doesn't apply.

Does anyone take into consideration animal testing when they buy their make-up? I'm just curious to see if there any others here!

I wear Stila tinted moisturiser, use Gosh mascara and ELF everything else.

(Never B Too Busy in shade 'berlin') - don't think this is made anymore

    I use superdrug moisturisers:

Very interesting thread I try to take into consideration when shopping if the products I buy are used on animals but sometimes it's not as clear. L'Oreal have claimed that they don't test on animals but products off there make up line do so I try not to buy too much of there stuff.

If anyone is interested here's comapnies that have been proven NOT to testing on animals.

    - MAC
    - Urban Decay
    - GOSH
    - Stila
    - E.L.F
    - Revlon
    - Bourjois
    - Essence
    - Catrice
    - Sleek
    - Eyeko
    - Barry M
    - Avon
    - Estee Lauder
    - NARS
    - Collection 2000
    - Sigma
    - Elizabeth Arden
    - Illamasqua
    - Chanel
    - Clinique
    - Bobbi Brown
    - 17
    - Laura Mercier
    - Make Up For Ever
    - O.P.I
    - Orly
    - Too Faced
    - Eco Tools
    - OCC (Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics)
    - N.Y.C
    - Smashbox
    - Sinful Colors
    - Milani
    - Sugarpill

I will update this list if posters want, I have been doing a lot of research about animal testing on beauty products and starting to think very strongly about it all.

Urban Decay have a Vegan section on their site, showing all their vegan products.

Personally I wouldn't go out of my way to find products that haven't been tested on animals, although it is a bonus. Afaik all cosmetic ingredients sold in Europe have to be tested on animals anyway. However, I would be slightly put off a company if I found out they tested their finished products on animals, as that seems unnecessary.

Thanks for this! For some brands its harder to find a vegan list than for others.
