said i'd post this here to get the word out. worrying to say the least :/
Parents in Co Meath are being warned to be extra vigilant following reports of three separate abduction attempts.
On each occasion the children managed to get away, but gave identical descriptions of the man involved to gardaí.
Centred on the Navan and Trim area, a matching description of the car and its male driver were given to detectives.
One teenage girl was approached by him, and on two other occasions he approached girls who were 10 years old.
Parents say they have been working with community gardaí and reminding their children on safety precautions.
People are being advised to take extra care during the holiday period while community leaders say they will use social media to issue alerts of suspicious activity.

And not for the first time in the area.
And what's also shocking is the amount of very young children playing on the streets unattended.

A friend in the housing estate in question in Navan has cctv on his house, garda called around to him straight away and told him they'd be back to watch his cctv from the previous 4 days... and that was over 2 weeks ago and any footage is long recorded over now he said, they mustn't be bothered with trying to follow it up???
