I need to get a message to someone on facebook. We are not friends on FB and never have been. Adding as friend is not an option for the minute. on the top right corner of their page, there is a 'send message' button beside the 'poke' button. My question is, were i to send a message, will this be received as a private mail/direct message? or as a wall post? :eek: *shudder*. Logic would suggest it'd be a mail, but the slim slim possibility of this message being posted for the world to see would not bear thinking about. If anyone knows for definite, I'd appreciate some help, thanks.

If you click 'send a message' it will be sent as a private message. Only comments are visible and you probably wont be able to do that unless your friends. The message will send directly to them and no one will be able to see it.

You might want to check with them at some stage if they have received your message (if possible). I sent 2 PMs to a person I'm not friends with on FB they never received them .
