Keyboard issue

I have a dell XPS 15 the L501X model which is the first generation. Anyway the problem i am having is that i use my laptop in low light levels on a regular basis and i'm looking for a backlit keyboard as although i don't need to see to type i still need occasionally to use special characters and it strains my eyes.. I know now that the new model L502x has a backlit keyboard does anyone first of all know if that will be compatible with the older model and seconds where i can get one?

Edit: i contacted dell and i was told that the won't sell me a backlit keyboard

You could get one on ebay compare seller pics for both or get part numbers and google images them.

thanks i found out after a good bit of researching that the XPS L502X keyboard is not compatible with the L501x because of different screw location. tho the dell studio 1450 backlit keyboard is compatible and you can get a uk version with delivery for as little as 11 euro delivered with better shipping options available up to 25 euro
