    Hi

Just wondering were ppl are getting their wedding invites from?

I just started to look around but there is so much out there that id like to go on recommendations ! too much choice !

The cheaper the better but at the same time just want nice / good quality invites.

    Thanks :)

    Hi,

We got ours from Daintree in Camden St Dublin. They have a website www.daintree.ie. They deliver if you don't live in Dublin.
    there's always Vistaprint too.

got mine from these loveletters.ie, a bit pricey but the finished result, easiness and customer support from them was excellent.

We are the least creative people you could meet but made ours. Granted they were extremely plain but they were nice and cheap.

We went to the art shop and bought plain A4 card in burgundy, rose coloured envelopes and linen style A4 paper in ivory. We used the guillotine in the shop to quarter them, took them home and printed in black font on the ivory paper, and stuck them together using mounting glue (spray). We wrote names on them by hand. They were just flat cards but you could easily make standing cards by halving the card instead of quartering it. Also, art shops sell ribbon and other stuff that can be used to further decorate the card.

The leftover paper I used to make place names for the tables. To buy cards of that quality materials I think we would have paid alot more tbh. There's loads of inspiration online and I think himself enjoyed it as it was the first part that he got to be involved in really- nice as it's something that you need two sets of hands for!

We're using them too. They're so reasonable for what you get. The equivalent in Ireland would be incredibly expensive.

We also used Daintree, couldn't recommend them highly enough and all their paper and ink is sustainably sourced. We went for half-assembled (i.e. they do all the hard work, you just print the inserts and finish them) Italy and they were GORGEOUS. I really, really can't stress enough how beautiful they were.

We got the invites, thank you cards and place-names.

If cost is a big factor, definitely consider making them. It can be time consuming but keeping it simple helps and it is much cheaper. And the recipients will appreciate it more even if they are quite plain!

very reasonable prices and great quality, took onboard exactly what we wanted.
People still raving about them and that was nearly a year ago!

Just got mine! Got them from www.diywedding.ie - very happy with them! Great quality and the girl there was really really helpful - I actually went into the shop in Sandyford to have a look before I bought, but it's mainly an online business I think
Just have to make them up now...

For about €170 I got everything I needed to put together 75 pocketfold invitations and 20 evening invitations which I thought was quite good! It included everything including evelopes, RSVP cards & envelopes, inserts for directions etc, ribbon and flowers to stick on even the glue!

Yes actually we did get stung - 20% or so of the invoice value, as they only ship USPS to Ireland.

Their customer service and everything about them is amazing - puts Daintree to shame.

    hiya
i have just finished my invites and could not be happier with them, i searched the internet but couldnt find anything that really fit what i wanted
so in the end i done them myself

    i made 90 invites
paper (card) 15euro - easons 5 euro for 50 pages
guilleteen 9 euro - tesco (this had a function to put the perferated edge for rsvp)
envelopes for and invites and rsvps 8euro - tescos

my father inlaw to be printed them for free at home

in the end they came out perfect people havnt stopped talking about them, i have a cartoon pic of me walking into the church and dragging my oh behind me (were together ten years)

That lovely Jeni. We're the same, it's either go high end and get someone to hand make to a specific level, or do it all ourselves. I think we'll do it all ourselves. Even with ordering from the website I was looking at (cardsandpockets) it would be more difficult to print where and what we want. So I think we're going self-handmade. :D
