Im considering moving from the north to south of Ireland but need to know if i would still get social welfare and housing benefit. I am currently on incapicity benefit. Do you have to live in the republic for 2 years for you to be entitled to benefits ?

You will have to satisfy Habitual Residence Condition. The 2 year rule is only part of the process for HRC. If you have no previous work history in the South and all your family is in the North it is very unlikey that you will satisfy HRC.
