Im not after any medical advice but a recommendation of a good doctor who has himself/herself a history in sport and wont treat me along the "general population" health type of scales. Basically someone who will take into consideration who i am, what i hope to do and possibly treat something taking training/racing into consideration

Hi Bambaata, I hope all is ok dude and it's nothing serious especially this close to Galway 70.3. I'm sorry I don't have a recommendation for you but I am certainly interested in hearing of a recommendation.

Cheers ElD. Its nothing that has me sick etc anyway. Just a toe problem that's preventing me training etc

I'll be doing Galway, albeit it could be a fair bit slower than intended! Have had a visit to a GP but i wasnt happy with how he approached it so looking to get a second opinion from a GP i'd trust ;-) Overweight doctors, they always amuse me.

Check out Robfowl, he is on the cycling forum (or click on my username and he is a friend). He got me down to the club cycling and is a doctor at the RAS. He is prob a bit out from you being based in Balbriggan but i cant recommend him enough.

Oh forgot robfowl. Met him once nice guy.

And as for Galway you are the type type of person that having a lay up as part of the taper isn't necessarily a bad thing.

You had a good race at the weekend. Congrats on third and on beating Dolan. Something I've always wanted to do. He may be fvcked from IM Moo training but I wouldn't care if he was completely pissed and had a broken leg. I'd still be happy. A life time of "remember that time I....."

Seriously though chin up. At least you are getting it looked at unlike Austria!

Dr. Cuddihy in Greystones sorted me out earlier this year. Knows his sports injuries.

    Hi There,

I went to a Dr in Mullingar called Denis Slattery, He is a GP but specialising in sport injury's.
I found him very good and sorted out my problem in one visit. I also recommended him to a few other people to good effect. His practice is across the road from the Hospital.

Dont know it you live around that part of the Country. but def worth a visit.

    Regards
