Satellite Installation

Looking for some advice, is it possible to connect my satellite cable to the upc box.I got a handy man to commence installing my fta and saorview and this is what he suggested (no need to show cable in the house). He wasn't able to tune the sat channels yet no signal so has to come back, but since then my upc broadband has been flaky.
I originally wanted the cable to go directly from the dish to the receiver and fish the cable where possible. He did say the saorview would need to be brought into the attic.
I have cancelled my upc tv, thanks in advance for any suggestions.

This is why we've had countless threads on this subject.
This person is a clown with no knowledge of Satellite installations, Saorview or anything television related.
Get a competent and insured satellite/ aerial installer to advise and do the work before you run into more problems.

It depends what you want. If you want to disconnect the cable which is leading into your house from the upc box at the outer wall and connect that cable to the cable from the sat dish, sure thats possible. If you do that you will lose the connection to the upc network.

    No.
