who cares, dont look a gift horse and all that.
I paid 10 euro into Duncannon this year for the military show and thought im not going back to that, not worth the money.
Still I would have said a fiver fair enough.

A few show have gone free this year. I know Trim did.
And in fact I wont be going to any shows next year where I have to pay to display, espically Terenure where I had to pay more than the punters who came to see the cars....

    Why free?

    Why not? :)

Well done to all from AIME, The Great War Society and IMRG who were on TV3's Ireland AM this morning promoting the show. They looked great.

Off to begin set up now, hope to see some of you there.

That is a real compliment and comments like this are the exact reason we work hard to put on the best show we can. Thank you.

Am I the only person who finds the whole 'military reinactment' thing a bit weird? The vehicles have a certain novelty factor but grown men dressing up in uniforms and pretending to be soldiers

I was at a Medieval Fest in East Cork recently and came across a bunch of guys dressed up in German SS uniforms...what the hell are they playing at?

To each their own, there are plenty of people who think restoring classic/vintage cars is a bit sad "sure, why don't you just buy a new car"

As regards German SS, this is always a controversial topic, but to re-enact any battle, you'll always need to have both sides.

I don't do re-enactment myself, I'm more into vehicles, but it's not about "pretending to be soldiers", it's about paying tribute to those who made sacrifices and died to protect the innocent.
