Meteor mobile broadband problem

I have a meteor broadband dongle which is acting quite strangely! At my home house in sligo (where I really live out in the sticks), the meteor dongle works great with the blue light showing. I was surprised as the meteor single on my phone isnt hectic.

Now, the problem I'm having is when I try to connect at my house in Galway city. The signal is terrible, worse than the old dial up years ago. I cant understand it. The green light comes on in galway which apparently means that im at the edge of the network. But my meteor phone always has full coverage!!

Can someone explain the problem to me what the hell is going on??!!

There is no problem, that's just the nature of 3G networks.
