    Hi there,
Just in the process of carrying out a self build in West Cork and nearly at stage of putting in windows and doors.Have been getting a number of quotes from well known providers of windows and doors in West Cork and have been asking around about these companies and getting a mixed review for all of them.
Just wondering if anyone could PM me with their recommendations? Would be most appreciated.
    Thanks :D

Hi, we are having the same question... not for a new house but for a new built window in one wall and the replacement of the other very old windows in our house... can anyone recommend a company in west cork?
    thanks a million :)

    Hi,

We used Michael Harrington in Bantry for ours. These were UPVC though. He was bit more expensive than the others but good quality and efficient. Of if you are looking for a good quality timber frame window would def recommend C&C Joinery near Castletownshend & Skibbereen

    Best of Luck :-)

Thanks :) We will check this, but more than likely we won't go for timber frames because of the maintenance and they might rot faster...?

    Thanks again :)

O.M.Goodness - have ye never heard of Ted O Driscol (not sure how to spell this properly) in Skib? He makes beautiful timber windows practically any style and size. Were way up in North Cork but he delivered and installed no probs. In fact - in fairness - they made a mistake with one of the measurements so the day they came to fit it - they just returned with it and came back a couple of weeks later. As far as I remember, they were very reasonable priced in comparison to a very large Cork based window manufacturer who don't really care about customer service once they've got your money!

Anyway, our windows are in about four years now and were delighted with them.
