Many years ago I brought in a series hybrid v8 that looked like a 90 on steroids. I had no issues bring in in re the vrt guys as all paperwork matched. I regret the day I sold it.

Am I on a different planet in today's regime re getting one passed by the Nct guys. IM looking at a 1975 series rebuilt on a modded range rover chassis with a v8 lump which looks like a 90.

Any thoughts or is bringing in these tyes all be it over which I suspect.

You would probably be OK if the paperwork is spot on and all the numbers match.

There's a points system in the UK for retaining a chassis and registration number and the chassis and transmission would have the most points. If it's built on a RR chassis it should have kept the registration of the Rangie and be described as such. To counter fraud these days, any new hybrids need an SVA test before the paper work is issued, if there's any doubt it will get a Q plate.

Like here, there's a few older ones that aren't what they seem. If it turns out to be on a 1980s RR chassis with dodgy paperwork you risk being stuck with something you can't register.
