Renault Grand Scenic seems to be leaking

I have an 08 Renault Megane Scenic which and I noticed over the weekend that there seems to be fluid leaking from underneath the car somewhere.

It's not continuous so I can only assume it happens once it's driven. It's definitely not fuel - seems to be water but but sure. Nothing is showing up on the dask so indicate anything is wrong.

Obviously I'll have to get it checked out by a mechanic but anybody any ideas what it might be and what might be involved in getting it fixed?

Sounds to me like water from the air-con unit. Which is perfectly normal. Your best bet is to dip your finger in it and smell it, if no odour then its water but if its sweet smelling its coolant and you have a leak. Is your coolent level ok?

As above. You can dip a tissue in it and see if it has a colour. If it is blue/pink then check what colour your coolant is to verify.

It will be dark and oily if it's oil!

As the lads have said, its condensate from the air con. If you think back youll probably find you had the air con running on the journeys before noticing the water.

I assume its dried in or evaporated without leavign a stain fairly quickly? Assuming the cooling system has coolant in it as opposed to just water (bad) , then outside of the window washers theres nothing else in the car thats just water.

Thanks everyone... i'll check to make sure it's water... but yes I definitely had the AC on so i'm hoping that's all it is.
