Right, I didn't buy the car, my dad did. Its a 2007 Ford Focus.

On August 11th he bought it from a dealer in Dublin, he was chuffed with it until I told him it was a Garda car. I'm a Guard in Coolock and I know for a FACT its an ex-Garda car. Heres why,

*No garage sticker in the back window,

*The brake light in the rear window has a gap in the middle, from where the blue light was,

    *Mileage, 61K !! Thats ALOT for a 07/

*The plastic that surrounds the reg (usually has the garage name on it) is missing,

Not alot of reasons for some people to believe it was though

I'm confused, why would they get rid of a 2007 car ? In my 4 years of working for the Garda, I have never heard of them getting rid of a 2007 car.

I can get afew pics of it tomorrow or some time soon...

    Not Your Ornery Onager

I wouldn't go to court with those 'FACTS'.....

Any holes in the dash from radio etc. attachments? Any extra holes in the roof from aerials? Any signs that is has been muled?

Any hash down the back seats? :D

    Not your ornery onager

I know that your 99% sure its a ex-garda car but would you not just run a computer check on it and see what the story is with it ? That's if such thing is possible I'm assuming :)

So, is it a requirement for the seller to give the past history of owners and usage of the car.?

Hang on now these are the reasons - lets think logically here
Now i worked in main dealerships for 8 years and im pretty sure when Garda cars come to being sold its at the Garda auction and not traded in to a garage down the road
Lack of stickers and number plates surrounds does not justify that its a ex cop car,Could be just down to laziness by the person whose meant to fit them
Also from working on Garda cars and jeeps the dash should be littered in holes from the control console for lights and sirens, and the computer that Garda cars have,There should be at least two extra aerials and marks in the bumpers from the LED lights
67K is tiny milage for a 4 year old car in modern day ireland thats just over 16k a year,
PS as for the brake lights,Fords are notorious for those bulbs blowing

For an ex-garda car 61k in 4 years is nothing, more like 61k per year.
