So I turned on my 4 day old iMac tonight to play me some Sims 3 (dont judge! :o Its my guilty pleasure), however, although I got the usual sounds, nothing appeared onscreen.

I've tried the fixes that I researched online, (CTRL, OPTION, P & R), but to no avail. The computer itself works because I can hear the reactions from the keyboard, Volume controls etc. I plan on calling AppleCare tomorrow morning, but whats the likely hood of me getting this back working? :(:(

    Did you install any RAM?

No, i didnt touch anything. Honestly, I am not that tech savy. there was an update just before i turned it off yesterday. but it was only for iDVD, iMovie etc. nothing significant that iv not done countless times on my macbook.
