    Hi
Looking for advice on 2 fronts.
Have something like this in the kitchen sink. In the house now for 5 years and already on the 2nd set of taps.
    http://www.taps4less.ie/PP/B-JSFSNKWHT.html

Both leak around the base of the lever and the first set I replaced and didn't try to fix, but they were over 100 euro each so I can't really afford to replace again.

Anyway, I think I can replace the O ring on it and it might stop it leaking, also there is a catridge inside which might resolve the issue.

I took off the "hot/cold" colored button on the front of the old tap to take it apart to get an idea of how to disassemble and there was a screw I took out with the allen key. I managed to get access to the insides then and cartridge etc.

Now on the existing tap it does have the button and I took it off but no screw this time!!! I can't for the life of me figure out how to take off the leave to get access to the insides.

So whats the best approach to fix it, is the O ring enough?

How do I take the leve off the tap!!

    Thanks V much.

yop, bin it and fit a monobloc with taps on either side, that way any problems will be resolved by normal tap washers.

    Something like this?

We have a double sink so need the spout to be able to move between both :)

This might work better as there is only 1 hole in the sink.

Thanks for that. Is that not also a monobloc? Just a different and better setup though?

This is the problem with these taps. The cartridge is not readily available. I agree with done done on this one.

sometimes they leak around the bottom because the disc at the bottom is not screwed up properly/tight enough when installing or can come loose

No issue just use an english irish converter on copper or a 311 on a nut.

The real issue is the taps for the english market are usually rated for 0.5 bar which is considered low pressure in england but high pressure here.

Now that wont matter here with cold but the pressure of the hot will be cat...m Meaning off course when you are filling your sink the water wont mix well.,

even up north that happens but not alot you can do about it, the hot pressure fed by gravity is crap compared to the mains but just gotta live with it. takes a while longer to fill the sink..
