Moving into a house on Northland Rd at the start of September, had SKY broadband before but coupled with the tv its just too expensive this time around.

Looked at o2 because they offer a month to month with no minimum contract.. says they offer up to 7MB speeds too..

Anyone have any recommendations? Or stories good/bad?

    Thanks

Well hey (round the corner) neighbour :)

I would avoid o2 (is it the dongle?) like the plague, i have had virgin broadband and have literally no problems with the service whatsoever. On a 10meg connection and getting 9.76 from it.

They are a year contract crowd but they do (or used to anyway) 9 month contracts for students, and dont ask for proof of student status :)

After the initial contract is up it becomes a month to month basis

Well bt gives this 1320176507.png and this is in the country plus it's unlimited and only £28 a month way better than virgin by a mile!

Have to have a phone line and add £13.90 per month for line rental on top of that.
