ehobby are reliable but they do take a while as your package is coming from asia which according to cutoms is a risk area they tend to pay alot of attention to these. But there is a ban on personal importation of rif's/ airsoft devices from outside the EU (hence the reason why most american sites whont ship here :pac: )

I find Ehobby extremely reliable ordered three times now and all arived within 4 days.. from Asia, find that great :D. as for the importing, I personally wouldn't the risk is high and then the shipping and VAT and customs fee's you're going to end up paying close to the RRP for Ireland anyways, i know it's tempted but there's a few things to consider, if it's a pistol that you can't find here ask a retialer and see what they say

4 days??? ffs :pac: and yeah forgot that if customs do allow the gun through you will pay through the nose for it

All false. You can import anything you want from anywhere so long as it is under 1J. Customs are fine to deal with, just 21% VAT plus a handling fee. I have only ever had one GBB stopped for tax, that was in early 2007 and was when ehobby used airmail instead of UPS. Getting something released is solved with an email and phone call to confirm. I have never had anything sent to ballistics thankfully.

Ehobby are fine to deal with. 3 to 4 days is all it takes with any orders I have ever placed.

They do have good deals on some stuff. Even with shipping and VAT I have saved a few 100 over the years buying from them. For example I got a STAR L85 and TAR21 for around €330 and €380 respectively after all charges.

4 days yup :) and it was a big box too, i payed 60 euro for a 200 euro order VAT is 21 percent so automatically factor that in and then customs is down to luck in my experience, got charge 35 euro on a 600 euro order so less for more if you look at it. luck of the draw really

so basically on a €200 order I could be looking at an extra €60 to €70 on top of postage?

yeah bascically it's all down to luck like I know people who lost their orders because customs didn't know what airsoft was, were charged 100 euro and some that got away with not paying at all, for gear I'd recommend them with no problem but for AEG's or pistols I'd highly suggest you'd buy in Ireland

okay well then I think I'll just get one from Ireland. Now, does anyone know where I could get a reasonably priced Marui pistol? :D

hmm the five seven are sold by Hobbyairsoft and i know that airsoft eire have a good few too.

Yeah I've checked and AirsoftEire and Airsoft kings seem to have a good selection so unless I can find a Marui desert warrior I will probably be getting the five seven

Ehobby have gotten themselves on some sort of blacklist, you will pretty much definitely get stung for duty on any order from them.

As for RIFs, it's hit and miss. It may go right through, it may get sent to the park, no guarantees. Welcome to Ireland.

Only ordered off these guys once. I got 5 SG1 mags, a helmet, scarf and a tac vest. Took 4 days to arrive (ordered Thursday arrived Monday....so technically 4 days :P). Slightly better than there estimated 20 business days!

Didn't get hit with customs VAT at all.

    Very happy with them!

Yeah I think I'll stick with ordering RIFs from Ireland but may get some gear there in the future, they have a good selection
