Aer Arann is investigating an incident on a flight from Bristol that was operated by Aer Arann on behalf of Aer Lingus. This happened sometime ago, airport police and Gardai were told that a flight attenant believed that life and the safety of the plane were under threat. Gardai investigated but found no crime had been committed. No arrests were made.
After sending a written complaint to both EI and RE the passanger recieved a reply from EI saying the airline was disapointed to hear about his experience and assured him that RE would conduct a full hearing. According to the passanger RE never contacted to ascertain his version of events, but sent him a letter saying the investigation was concluded, but no further action was necessary. To add insult to injury the letter also stated, Aer Arann would like to have the opportunity to welcome you on our flights again , subject to your assurance that your future conduct will be accectable and approiate.
Aer Arann declined to comment but on Friday met with the passanger and have agreed to have another lookat the incident and revert back to him within a week.
