Anyone else have problems with the Wifi Drivers in BT5? I've rolled back to BT4R1 Wireless connections take far to long to connect in BT5.

run it in a vm :pac:

    which wireless card ?
which drivers built in / propeirtry / ndiswan ?

back in the day, you'd pop in a pcmcia wifi card that you knew had lots of support, bonus means you could get interweb on one card and scan on the other

it could also be other stuff too
was the 4 tweaked at all ?

I used to use a linksys WUSB54GC adpater for BT, worked a treat once you used the enhanced drivers.

BT2 R1 is not tweaked at all. It runs absolutely perfectly with my HP Laptop's internal NIC.

I also run it in a VM but I want it on bare metal when I'm on the move :)

I do have a WUSB54GC also but I prefer to use the internal WIFI NIC. I'm sure it's a driver issue or something.

Feck it - I'll stick with BT2 R1 for the moment (R2 doesn't even install - It just locks up lol).

Does your internal card support stuff like packet injection with the default drivers?? I found it easy to get most wireless cards to work but using them with a lot of the wireless analysis tools proved impossible.

Yep! Sure does! Packet Injection works fine in BT4R1
