    Hi Lads,

I am wondering if somebody knows a courrier/haullier whom will bring me 2 engines from the UK back to Ireland.

Basically I was looking for an engine for a 924 for my project but I can't find one here, however a mate of mine as 2 in the UK which I can have.

The problem is how to bring them back, the engine are in the Kent.

So if somebody knows somebody whom will do that it will be deadly.

    Thanks a million
    Arnaud

I've seen a new crowd advertising on donedeal that allows people to search for empty trucks /vans returnning otherwise empty from drop offs .... could be worth a shot http://www.handyhaulage.ie

Superfly: I don't know how much you were quoted and under what conditions but with haulage companies it works like this:

If your mate is able to transport it to one of their depots and put the two engines onto a standard sized pallet, and if you are able to pick it up in a depot here then it works out considerably cheaper than a full door to door service. If you can box up the engines it works out even cheaper. If you are somewhat flexible on the dates you want it sent it can be a bit cheaper too.

You might be better off using an agent than the companies directly, though the web site above is worth a shot too. The only way is to phone around and get as many prices as possible.

Thanks a million for all this information. I will check with the mate if he can do this for me.

Thanks a million for this link, I will have a go. I supposed the same rule apply as bijapos was saying early on.

The quote I got online was about £400 so it make it not possible to me.

the good thing about shiply is the couriers that quote are normally drivers that are coming to Ireland already with a empty space so will collect from you and normally give a great price. bewrae of couriers with low feedback its a bit like ebay
