am looking to get three tyres for my 308, have michelin energy savers on it but they are a bit pricey 145 each, i have quotes for firestone that i used before on another 308 for 70 each another place wants 80 for dunlop, any advice what i should do, cheaper options if so which one, or hang tough for the energy savers.
    thanks in advance

My opinion has always been to never go cheap on rubber... they are the only part of your car that contacts the road... your ability to accelerate, brake, corner without risk of sliding, handling in the wet etc are all down to what tyre you have

    What size are they?

I wouldn't regard dunlops as 'going cheap'

I'm also skeptical about energy savers. Had them years ago and found grip wasnt great. Not worth paying twice as much for.

I had that size on a Ford Focus before and put Vredestein Sportrac on it. Very good tyre and they cost me only around €80 each fitted from a local supplier.

    Here they are here:

Taking fitting and balancing into account you will probably buy them local for similar money.
