There are a few types: for example, Professional Services Witholding Tax must be deducted from payments for prof.services by certain public-funded entities - leaflet on www.revenue.ie as is leaflet on tax withheld for certain sectors - especially construction- and other leaflets. Good luck in interview

    What type of withholding tax?

    There are a lot.

Professional services withholding tax- which is a bit complicated.
Withholding tax on income from companies
DIRT (which is a withholding tax)

Then there are miscellanous ones like renters being oblidged to withhold tax on rent paid to non resident landlords

As mentioned go to www.revenue.ie and put in withholding tax and read the leaflets
